“Finders Keepers” by Stephen King – The Novel of Blood

Image
We've gotten rather used to the concept of there being popular figures and their fans. Most people make whoever's work they truly enjoy a part of their life... but there are some who start basing their lives around it, and worse, around the artist him/herself. The fear of crazy and dangerously-obsessed fans has no doubt plagued virtually everyone who had a brush with fame, and in his new novel Finders Keepers , Stephen King once again plays on it masterfully.

"Revival" by Stephen King – Eternal Bonds

Image
In recent years it seems that with his fans, Stephen King has been delivering largely hit or miss literature, at least if his book reviews are to be trusted. Fortunately, it seems that he managed to find his footing with his more recent works, and in my opinion Revival is certainly a grand step in the proper direction.

“Mr. Mercedes” by Stephen King – Armageddon Driver

One of the most fascinating aspects of the horror genre is the fact that so many different approaches to it can be taken, ranging from convoluted and ridiculous to simple and realistic ones; there will never be a shortage of things to fear in this world. It goes without saying that Stephen King is deservedly one of the best-known horror writers out there, and with Mr. Mercedes he seeks to impregnate his audience with fear stemming from incomprehensible madness.

“Doctor Sleep” by Stephen King – The Price of the Shining

Image
Though Stephen King may have gone through somewhat of a slump recently, it seems he has returned to his original form in his last couple of novels, and in his latest one, Doctor Sleep , he goes back to his glory days when he wrote The Shining . What does that mean? Well, this time around we follow Dan from the original story, but he has grown into an adult, one who cannot leave his dark past behind. In an attempt to start over, he chooses to settle in a small New Hampshire community, where he uses his shining power to give comfort to the dying.

“Joyland” by Stephen King – Ghosts, Lovers and Murderers

Image
Though Stephen King may very well be known as the master of horror around the entire world, many forget that he has written novels that strayed from the stereotypical image we have of him. Some of those novels include The Dead Zone , Stand by Me , and more recently, Joyland . It is very different from his other works in the sense that he combines three of his favorite topics together: romance, ghost stories, and murder mysteries.

"The Green Mile" by Stephen King

Image
Even though Stephen King is mostly known as being the master of horror novels, he does branch out from time to time, tackling different types of stories. The Green Mile is one of those stories as it is set in a death-row facility at a penitentiary in Cold Mountain where resides a certain giant by the name of John Coffey who is accused of raping and murdering two nine year-old twin girls.

"The Dark Tower" by Stephen King

Even though it seems that less and less people like to read books, there are still writers which are very highly considered by everyone. One of those writers is the world-famous Stephen King, or as some people prefer to call him, the master of horror. Some of his greatest and most recognized works include Carrie, Christine, and It.

"Full Dark, No Stars" by Stephen King

While Stephen King has become known as one of the greatest writers in the world because of his novels, he does have some interesting works which unfortunately haven’t received as much exposure as they should have. These works often include collections and compilations of smaller stories, such as Full Dark, No Stars for example which tells four different stories and in true King fashion , the predominant themes throughout the stories are greed, vengeance and deception.

"Under the Dome" by Stephen King

Image
The story is that of a small town living the American dream. However, as you can guess things soon start to take a turn for the worse as a giant dome of magnetic energy suddenly appears around the town and isolates them from the rest of the world. While Stephen King may be one of the most widely read authors in the entire United States of America, it is no secret that his recent works have been on the decline in terms of quality.

"The Stand" by Stephen King - What Happens when 1% Remains

Regardless of whether or not you are interested in literature, chances are that you’ve heard the name Stephen King being bounced around.Indeed, his fame has grown to a level where pretty much everyone knows who he is, without necessarily knowing what he did, or what he even looks like. And let me say that this reputation is well-deserved on his part seeing as how he came along with some of the greatest horror classics known to mankind, including Carrie , It , and The Dead Zone .

"Bag of Bones" by Stephen King

Image
Most people who read Stephen King’s works would agree that in recent years the master of horror may have let himself go a little. There has been a somewhat noticeable decline in the quality of his works, in every department including writing style and originality. However, Mr. King is only human and you cannot expect anybody to keep making masterpieces that each exceed the previous one; everyone falls at some point or another… it’s how you get up that matters. Well, it seems that recently Stephen King has bounced back with a few quite amazing works, including a move tie-in called Bag of Bones .

"A Memoir of the Craft" by Stephen King

Image
For a long time now people have been reading Stephen King’s novels , marveling at the genius he manages to put on paper. However, while we keep on reading his works of fiction, a lot of us have noticed a distinct lacking when it comes to knowing what the master himself thinks like in real life. It’s one thing to learn about an author through his imagination, but it’s another to learn about him from what he truly thinks and says. Probably with this in mind (as well as a fat paycheck) Mr. King released an autobiographical work titled On Writing: 10th Anniversary Edition: A Memoir of the Craft.

"11/22/63" - What if Time Travel Saved JFK?

Even though the United States of America haven’t existed for as long as most other countries out there, namely in Europe, it still managed to have quite a volatile history, full of economic, political and criminal scandals. As most of you are more than likely aware, a tragic event struck the country on November 22nd, 1963: the assassination of John F. Kennedy . The news spread like wildfire and not only created a real payday for the newspapers, but also started to inspire the imagination of various artists and writers.
